MALAYSIA: Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), the country’s Shariah compliant national savings bank, aims to give out RM250 million (US$71 million) in personal financing during the ongoing countrywide Islamic banking campaign that ends in September.
It is also targeting disbursing between RM100 million (US$28.3 million) and RM150 million (US$42.4 million) in home loans, while its Islamic savings accounts are expected to rake in RM120 million (US$34 million) in turnover. BSN has over seven million customers among Malaysia’s 28 million people.
