PAKISTAN: A syndicate of Islamic banks and Islamic windows has engaged law firm Ahmed & Qazi for the extension of Shariah compliant facilities worth PKR750 million (US$2.72 million) to a construction and engineering company, according to a LinkedIn post. The company will use the facilities to settle existing conventional facilities, thereby converting its debt obligations from conventional to Shariah compliant. The facilities will be extended on a diminishing Musharakah structure involving over 90 different assets.
