IFN is pleased to announce the launch of IFN Islamic Fintech Landscape, a global initiative brought to you by Innovate Finance and our sister publication, IFN Fintech. The Landscape captures the dynamism of the expanding Islamic fintech universe by mapping out fintech start-ups and companies in the Islamic finance space across the globe. An ongoing initiative, we are delighted to share the results of the first phase of this Landscape which include some surprising findings.
Also in this week’s issue, we learn of Pakistan’s plans to revamp its Islamic banking infrastructure and we see sparks of Islamic finance interest in an unlikely place: Spain. Our weekly analyses bring you to Qatar, a country in a regional quagmire, and into the world of structured finance.
Structured finance is also explored by Aziz-Ur-Rehman Zia, the vice-president and head of structured investment products with Dubai Islamic Bank. Our contributions this week touch on Islamic finance mediation as well as offshore centers and we also have an interview with Muhammad Samiullah, the secretary-general of NBFI & Modaraba Association of Pakistan.
As usual, we wish our readers an insightful and informative read.
