BAHRAIN: According to Central Bank of Bahrain data, the consolidated balance sheet of the banking system of Bahrain, comprised of both retail and wholesale banks, totalled US$192.6 billion as at the end March 2014. The aggregate balance sheet of the country’s Islamic banks (retail and wholesale) stood at US$24.2 billion in March, compared with US$23.3 billion at the end of the previous quarter.
