Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) is working on several initiatives to bolster its fintech infrastructure in order to maximize opportunities; these include efforts to leverage on its global Islamic finance leadership in order to attract fintech companies to Kuala Lumpur. “We believe Malaysia is uniquely positioned to be the test bed for innovative fintech solutions for emerging markets,” Aznan Abdul Aziz, the chairman of BNM’s Financial Technology Enabler Group (FTEG), shared at a recent event.
