UAE: The Central Bank of the UAE has released new rules with regards to credit exposure limits for banks operating in the emirate, under which banks are not allowed to have exposure of more than 30% to banks operating outside the UAE, regardless of their maturity. This also applies to branches of foreign banks to their head offices and other branches abroad. Banks have five years to reach full compliance with the new rules.
