GLOBAL: Guyana’s President Mohamed Irfaan Ali had a virtual discussion on the 16th August 2020 with Dr Bandar Hajjar, the president of the IsDB, on the financing of solar energy, agriculture, infrastructure, SMEs and containing the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a tweet. Guyana and the IsDB have a long-standing relationship; it was previously reported the government could potentially tap into US$900 million in financing and grants from the IsDB.
