UAE: Noor Bank has won the right to swap its US$100 million financing to Abraaj Group for stakes in some of the latter’s funds, according to Bloomberg citing people with knowledge of the matter. The Islamic bank will reportedly take ownership of stakes in the funds pledged against the financing with approval from a court in the Cayman Islands, where Abraaj is undergoing a supervised restructuring.
