BANGLADESH: The income-tax wing of the National Board of Revenue (NRB) has waived the tax deducted at source (TDS) on Sukuk transactions between the Sukuk originator and the SPV, with the official statutory regulatory order to be issued soon, The Financial Express reported. Previously, the NRB had waived the value-added tax (VAT) on sales and purchases of assets between the Sukuk originator and the SPV as well the VAT applicable to rent or lease of assets between the two parties.....
