JORDAN: The government of Jordan will be using Islamic finance to support the Hashemite Kingdom’s endowment projects and investment portfolios, announced Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury, as reported by Jordan Times. This is among a raft of initiatives introduced by the government including developing a comprehensive program to introduce people to the financing and loans available to Jordanians to start SMEs.
