MALAYSIA: Danajamin Nasional has announced in a statement that it will guarantee Brecon Synergy’s upcoming Islamic medium-term notes (IMTNs). Danajamin will be guaranteeing up to RM160 million (US$38.78 million) of the first issuance of RM200 million (US$48.47 million)-worth of IMTNs, issued under Brecon’s IMTN program of up to RM450 million (US$109.06 million).
The proceeds of the IMTNs will be channeled to part-finance the acquisition cost of the King Henry VIII College located in Cyberjaya. Maybank Investment Bank is the principal advisor, lead arranger and lead manager of the program.
